COVID-19 Mitigation Measures, Economic Impact and Factors in Recovery

The purpose of the paper is to analyse various factors influencing speed recovery and return Old Normal, i.e., GDP levels 2019 Q4. Most countries have imposed strong Covid-19 containment measures. research reveals implications mitigation policies on growth, budget deficit increase in outstanding public debt. analysis will show correlations between stringency measures mobility population relationship with decrease GDP. It concludes that size fiscal response important, but does not guarantee immediate recovery. Besides monetary policy, there are also other important elements, such as strictness measures, tourism sector, pre-crisis debt level, quality governance, which for many warrants a smaller decline with, average, less stringent accumulated debt, sector more efficient tend slowdown deficits, recover sooner levels.
